Anyway I had a chance to visit ClementiMall's library today and was very satisfied with the three new novels I borrowed.
Yay, I love new books.

Truth is I'm really sad cos I failed driving for the second time,
I feel as though I'm really bad at driving,
much as I'd like to believe otherwise.

Hahaha this is going to sound silly,
but I actually felt quite happy after crying cos I realised that my tear gland hadn't spoilt.
It's silly I know but a couple of months back I thought I was completely devoid of emotions,
that nothing happy or sad could make me cry.
So I'm glad (to a certain extent) that today proved me otherwise.
Okay I'm starting to sound terribly absurd,
please ignore the above paragraph.

So ANYWAYS, failing driving test isn't the end of the world.
I've been having a wonderful time,
putting on weight that is.
But I guess it's good calories so that's not so bad.

On Thursday, Penny was the sweetest because she visited me during lunch and made me the prettiest birthday card and she got us Royce chocolates.

Then I spent an entire Friday of work doing up LaiZijie's birthday present.
Lunch with Corinne was enjoyable too,
actually I'm really thankful for having her around during lunch,
that I cannot say enough.

There was BBQ at Jarold's later that evening and they surprised me with a birthday cake.
The best part about birthdays is that it always reminds me about how much God has blessed me with so many good friends in my life.
And many times I just feel so unworthy of it.

Today was a busy Saturday,
for once in a very long time.

Had driving lessons in the morning followed by ballet lessons in the early afternoon.
Then I taught Melissa chemistry later that afternoon/evening and finally to celebrate LaiZijie's birthday with the classmates in the evening.

Suddenly dawned upon me that Chemistry and Economics could possibly be the only knowledge I've retained since I left junior college.

I'm secretly smiling to myself.
If there's any good out of my unfulfiling life right now,
it's stress free from studying.

Besides that point,
I had Starbucks twice in a row this week because of 50% off during Happy Hour.

Had lunch with Corinne and Nicolette today too.
1-for-1 pasta at Coffeebean.
Even though it's so cheapskate,
I'm proud of enjoying good deals.

apart from almost perfect December.

Sunday night was spent celebrating lovely Nicolette's 20th,
it seemed like just yesteryear we celebrated her 18th.
Time flies,
whether or not we're having fun.
Growing old is not cool.

Spent the public holiday catching up with Melissa whom I think I haven't actually caught up properly with in more than a year.
But you know it's amazing how we're still so tight and all.
See that's the beauty of the friendships forged in Fairfield,
always withstands the test of time.

Then I celebrated my birthday dinner with the family at Long Beach King Seafood restaurant at Kallang.

Mom is a computer idiot,
she doesn't even know what or where the On button is.
Major need of computer lessons required.

You know there are so many things on my mind that I don't even know where to begin.
Don't get me wrong,
I'm really contented and happy because life's been good to me,
and I'M GOING KOREA MID JULY!!

But there's just so many things around me that I can't remain ambivalent to.

Tonight got me praying really really hard that Char would get into med school and Penny would get into NUS law school.
And I got really worried for my friends who hadn't gotten a place in uni or didn't get their course of choice.
And then I really wished that all my friends who are having relationship problems now would be better already.
And I hope that all my friends who are lost, would find themselves again.

Yet all these problems seems so untenable and negligible because it's not within my control.
And that Time the greatest healer would eventually solve all these.
I know right, I worry unneccessarily.
But I just find it really difficult in me to be happy when my friends aren't.

For once in my lifetime I actually enjoyed my salad very very much.

I feel kinda pathetic only having to blog about lunch or dinner,
but I really don't wanna bore you with what I do during work.

at least I've still got some life left in me outside working hours.

I finally caught P.S. I Love You after four years.

I need to get a hold on my insatiable appetite for macadamia nuts.

So it's boring at work today,
haven't had work since morning.

Anyway the weekend's been fulfilling enough.
Friday night at Holland and Tea Party with Byje and Liangfu,
gooood catching up and playing Taboo.

Dinner at Two Chefs with Byje.
We ordered Sambal Kangkong, Golden Mushroom Tofu and Butter Pork Ribs and figured it was impossible for two people to finish everything up,
so we tried calling for back up to no avail.

Saturday was spent with the family,
well part of.
IKEA serves Lurpak butter,
now that's what I call quality.

Night out with Chermaine after,
she's so funny and she never fails to crack me up and make my day with every of her silly antics.
In spite of her lack of punctuality, I appreciate her very much.

Church yesterday and Sunday afternoon catch up session with my favourite Yiling.
It's like a must every Sunday.

Then I went to pick up the girls from the airport after.
I love going to the airport, how can anyone not?
Salad bought me so many things back from Australia,
but I love your presence back more than anything.

Friday treat from the office.

Chermmy came over for a house visit,
made my night.

I was just thinking,
is it possible for something so bad to happen to an individual?
And if so, how bad would be considered bad enough?

That was just a thought,
maybe I'm still shell-shocked.

Anyway I finally visited my favourite Devan,
I think my heart melted when he sang the Fairfield school song,
his voice is so freaking cute.
And Sherlyn's new place is so pretty!

It was hot like a dog a moment ago and now it's raining like a deer.
Okay pardon my fail attempts at being incredibly lame,
I tried.
Hahaha.

Spent my lunch time travelling all the way to Greenwood to pick up a Lana cake and dropping it off home before returning to the office,
honestly the insane heat didn't help much.
It was Mommy's birthday yesterday but dear Lana was closed from Sunday to Tuesday so I had no choice but to get it today.

In the spirit of counting down,
4 days til the girls are back from Australia,
20 days til driving test,
and 34 more work days left!
Yay.
I'm sorry I'm not as good as Alastair in doing this counting down thing.
Hahaha.

I'm meeting my little boyfriend after work who's approximately 12 years younger than me.

I'm having such awful muscle aches from Captains' ball and jogging yesterday,
definitely a representation of how unfit I am now.

The best thing about a long weekend is that you not only get an extra day of break,
you get a shorter work week.
So yays to that.

It's been a nice and fulfilling weekend,
in summary I had bible study, received good news on university application, went for ballet class, caught Arthur with the sisters and aunty, eat at Soup Restaurant (The chicken here is so good), dinner with God's People cos the guys are going into army, last lepak session with LaiZijie, lunch at Tung Lok Seafood to celebrate Mom's birthday and Captains' ball with the 4D mates.

Yes, I'm content.
